Jet Brake S Muzzle Brake – J16 – Ø16 mm – M14x1 thread

Double-effect muzzle brake and compensator for Sabatti bolt-action rifles. A rifle’s recoil is essentially made up of two factors: the thrust of the gases expanding at the muzzle, and the conservation of momentum of the system formed by the rifle moving backwards and the bullet moving forward. Single-effect brakes (Boss-type or tactical brakes in general) only partially compensate for the first factor; the Jet Brake, by directing the gases at an angle towards the rear of the rifle, also acts on the second.

The gas ports are the most delicate part of a muzzle brake: their shape and inclination are the result of a careful study of the fluid dynamics of expanding gases and of extensive testing, measuring both the recoil reduction and the influence on the rifle’s accuracy. The result is one of the most effective brakes in terms of recoil reduction, and among the least impactful on accuracy.

Unlike other brakes that use lock nuts, spring washers or clamp-type locking systems for timing, the Jet Brake uses a completely new system with an internal threaded ring operated by an Allen key: the look of the brake stays clean, with a technological yet refined appearance.
